Day trip to Bermi

We headed up to Bermagui today - a swim in the Blue Pool, fish and chips at the Fishermans Wharf, and a quick skate at the skate park before heading home.

Christmas Day

We had a great day at home for Christmas this year.  We opened the presents, went for a swim at the local beach, Dad and Jan came over for lunch - and we lounged around for the rest of the day.

A few days in Jindabyne

We camped in Jindabyne for a couple of nights, Richard and Josie hiked up Kosi whilst Jackson and I took on the Thredbo Flow Trail.

End of an Era - Jackson graduates Primary School

Jackson has now graduated from Primary School.  He ended the year with a fantastic graduation dinner at Oaklands and then the Leavers Arch at school.  He was quite sad to be leaving the school he has been at for 7 years 😔

Tennis award for Josie

Josie got an award at the end of year tennis presentation, she got Most Improved for the Friday night Comp. 

School Presentation Assembly

Jack and Josie picked up awards in this years presentation assembly, Jackson's last at MPS.

Jackson got the Principals Citizenship Award for Demonstrating Excellence in Leadership, Collaboration and Organisation, and a sports award.  Josie got a class award for Most Improved in English, Josie got introduced by her teacher as "this student could have got multiple awards, she is a little legend".... awwww.

Tree is up

Richard is a bit of a grinch at Christmas time so, whilst he was away on school camp, the kiddos and I put the tree up!

Basketball

Both kids have been loving their basketball on Saturday morning.

Josie turns 10!

Josie had a sleepover party with 3 friends followed by a party with another 6 friends at our place.

Jackson turns 12!

Jackson opted to have a Halloween Party this year, with some trick or treating around Headland Drive.

Floriade

Jack, Josie and I popped into Floriade whilst waiting for Richard to be discharged from hospital.

October School Holidays

Our October School Holiday plans were cancelled due to a kangaroo.

Richard hit a kangaroo on his road bike going about 50km/hr.  He broke 9 ribs, broke is clavical and punctured his lung.  He got airlifted to Canberra Hospital and spent the whole holidays there.  Surgery on his clavical and draining for his punctured lung.  He is home now, and has a long recovery ahead.

And that's a wrap on the 2019 ski season for us!

Rockbottom the Musical

Merimbula Public School did another school play this year, Rockbottom the Musical!  Jackson and Josie both had speaking parts, Jack was Juan 1 and Josie was a Cavey.  Great night.

Book week 2019

This years choice for book week was Mr Shark from the Bad Guys books and Augustus Gloop from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Preliminary Final at Narooma

Jackson has had a great first AFL season this year.  His team finished 4th so made it through to the finals, they won their semi against Pambula, then won their preliminary against Narooma, but unfortunately lost the grand final against Bermagui.  The below photo was taken in Narooma, just before their prelim game.

Weekend at the Snow for my Birthday

We spent the weekend at Thredbo, staying at the YHA, for my birthday.  We, well most of us, had a great time, great conditions and the YHA was a great place to stay.  Poor Richard twinged his back on Thursday, so even though he still came up with us - he didn't get out on the snowboard.

Day trip to Thredbo

We went up to Thredbo for the day on the weekend, also managed to catch up with my cousin who happened to be there from Sydney. Kids are getting fast now, so feel like we got heaps of skiing in.

A couple of days in the snow

We snuck back up to the snow for a couple of days, got two full days of skiing/boarding in and stayed at Selby and Emma's (who are over here on a snow holiday) cabin for the night in Moonbah.

Our Thredbo week

We had a week in Thredbo for the first week of school holidays.  We stayed in a lovely apartment right near the Friday Flat Chairlifts.  The snow was a little sketchy when we arrived, but luckily a large front came through on Wednesday night and we got some lovely powder snow for our last two days.
