Start of the school holidays

The plan was to go camping for the first week of the holidays, but Richard came down with a bad bout of the flu a few days before school broke up, so we postponed that idea and decided to hang at home for the first week. Not a bad place to live really!!

Spring snow trip

A final trip to the snow for us this season.

Left home at 6.30am, on the slopes by 10am, off the mountain at 3.45pm and back home again by 7pm.  Whilst we were hiring the gear there were massive snow flakes falling......in Jindabyne - it was amazing.  We went to Perisher this time, and got a little lost, and had all conditions from snow falling, to that hard sleety snow that hurts when it hits you in the face, the sun came out for a bit, a little bit windy at times - but all in all good snow conditions.  Great day.

The Amazing Adventures of SuperStan!!

Merimbula Public School had its annual school musical performance this week, all the children in the school take part in the play, with some of the older children able to audition for main parts.   The play was called 'The Amazing Adventures of SuperStan', and was about a comic hero (SuperStan) who had to rescue the city from the Lolly King.

Jackson auditioned and got the role of Wurly.  Wurly is part of a comic duo with Curly (played by his mate Mason), they are the 'dumb' comic villains, who constantly get things wrong and stuff things up.  They had heaps of great one-liners.  Jackson had a ball, thoroughly enjoyed himself and did so well to remember all his lines.  Josie had a part in the main chorus, she played a minion, she came out about four times to sing a song with the rest of the year 2's.  They had three performances, with the night performances being a full house.  We got front row seats and thoroughly enjoyed the show!

 All ready for opening night!

With Dr What (aka Wyatt), just before the curtains opened.
