First day of school, now in Year 5 and Year 3

Australia Day Float

We participated once again this year in the annual Merimbula Australia Day Float, followed by a swim and some spear fishing.

Surf Grom

Josie participated in the Surf Groms (learn to surf) programme at Pambula beach this week.  She did great (and at times she was faced with very big surf) and by the end was consistently surfing the waves into the beach.  What a star.

Driving home

We drove from the Gold Coast to Tura Beach in one day, we left Gold Coast at 6.30am immediately jumped over the border into NSW and lost an hour (so 7.30am) and got into Tura at 11.30pm!  Nearly 1400km.  Massive day.  And the temperature changes were big too - the first picture was taken at 2.30pm and the second at 10pm!

Gold Coast

Kirra on the Gold Coast was our last stop for a week, and it was a busy week - we went to MovieWorld, SeaWorld, Wet n Wild, Surf World, checked out the Burleigh Single Fin Classic (surf comp) and of course plenty of beach and pool time.

Sunshine Coast

Next stop was the Sunshine Coast.  We stayed in Mudjimba and explored all the beaches from Noosa down to Caloundra.  We surfed in the warm water, went to a great NYE concert at Mooloolaba, had a session at the Aqua Fun Park and a day at Australia Zoo.
