We bought a piano recently, and Jack and Josie have started lessons.  Both are loving learning, and doing so well....

Soccer Gala Day

Soccer gala day at Mallacoota this year.  They played 5 games, won 4 drew 1, it rained, was cold, then was sunny, then rained again.  Good end to the soccer season, and a car full of tired, dirty boys on the way home.

Mt Imlay

Today Jackson, Josie, Grandad and I hiked to the top of Mt Imlay.  Rich wasn't feeling well, so even though he drove out with us he made it the first 50m before having to turn back and have a sleep in the car.

The rest of us made it to the top, it took us 4 hours to get there and back, we climbed 629m up a very rough and rocky track, made it through a whole bag of lollies before getting to the top, one meltdown, one fall, lots of chatting, and surprisingly not too much whingeing.  Great effort Jack, Jo and Grandad!  Although as Richard didn't make it, no doubt we will all have to go back one day.....

Soccer season over for another year

The Merimbula Grasshoppers finished their season on a high, with a convincing 8,0 win over Pambula this morning.   Jackson also got a couple of those goals.

Parkrun and Mandeni bike race

We had an action filled day today, with all of us doing Parkrun this morning and then Jack and Josie did the Mandeni kids bike race this arvo.

In Parkrun both Jack and Josie got PB's (Rich and I let the team down!), for the 5km Jack got a time of 29.26 and Josie got 38.10.  Fantastic runs.

Then off to Mandeni in the afternoon for the bike race, Jackson came in 2nd in his category and Josie came in 3rd.

SRC Representative

Jackson was recently chosen by his peers to be the class SRC (Student Representative Council) representative for this term.  Yesterday he had his induction into his new role at the whole school assembly.
