Surf Patrol followed by Crab Racing

Richard had a surf patrol yesterday, then following his patrol the club were running crab races.  Josie entered a crab, who she called 'Star', and Star then won his heat and Josie a prize.  Good fun.

Light to Light Walk

We, along with our close friends, went for a short walk along the Light to Light track south of Eden a few days ago, lovely walk, superb scenery.

Christmas Day shenanigans

We had a great Christmas Day.  Lots of food, presents and great company.  Here is a photo with the new selfie stick - love it!

Christmas Day Community Lunch

For the third year running a group of local friends have put on a Christmas Lunch for those people who may otherwise have nowhere to go on Christmas Day.  This year, we decided to help out.  So we spent a few hours welcoming people as they arrived, showing them to their seats, chatting, serving their food and handing out presents.  This event is a credit to those who run it, such amazing community spirit.

Christmas Eve excitement

We had our usual takeaway dinner at Bar Beach on Christmas Eve, the kids were super excited, especially as they received a call from Santa just as he was about to board his sleigh.

Josie in the Merimbula News Weekly

Josie made the local paper, some of the kindergarten graduation class from Merimbula Public School, 2015.

School Presentation Day and Kindergarten Graduation

I can't believe another school year is nearly over!

It was the school presentation day and kindergarten graduation today.  Jackson got a class award - he got it for 'Outstanding Application and Achievement in English', and Josie graduated from kindy.  Big day for both of them!  Very proud.

Gymnastics

Josie had her final gym performance yesterday, she did so well, and she got awarded 'Most Improved' for her class.

Face Painting

We had my work Christmas party on the weekend, and my boss's wife painted the kids faces.  They look super cool.

New kit for the Pajero

A new snorkel and bull-bar for the Pajero, all ready for some 4WD'ing action now!!

Quick trip to Canberra

We went up to Canberra for the weekend for a bit of family fun, a birthday treat for Jack and Josie.  We stayed with the cousins in Murrambateman on Saturday night, and then it was off to Flip Out for some trampoline action, then onto an indoor climbing gym.  Busy weekend, some knackered kids snoring their heads off in bed now!

Happy 6th Birthday Josie!

Josie had a great day for her 6th birthday.  It was a school day so her class sung Happy Birthday to her, then in the afternoon she requested a pizza picnic (eating pizza in front of the TV) whilst watching Frozen.  She got a new bike with gears....

Kid talk

Jackson and his best little mate Wyatt were chatting over afternoon tea after school one day at our place, they were talking about what they would wish for...
Wyatt "I would wish for a doggie"
Jackson "I would wish for no more wars"
Wyatt "Thats a good wish, I said doggie and you said no more wars..." !!
They went on to say 'live forever', 'no one to die', before going onto WiiU games and toys.

The Playdate Party

After deciding Jack and Josie weren't having parties this year, we decided they could both have a friend over for pizza, play and cake.  One friend then turned into four friends coming over - and before we knew it we had ten kids in the house, which looked very much like a party anyway!  A good time was had by both of them!  They have some great little friends.

Happy 8th Birthday Jackson

Jack had a great day yesterday for his 8th birthday.  He got a new surfboard, which we took to the beach that morning to test out, then off to Crankys Cafe for a bacon roll, before playing his new game on the Wii in the afternoon, and pizza for dinner.  Life is good for this 8 year old!
