Handstands!!

Lakes Entrance camping weekend

We hitched up the caravan again this weekend, but this time we headed about 3 hours south to Lakes Entrance in Victoria.  We were meeting up with Tonia, Mark, Evie and Milly who have recently moved from Perth to Melbourne.

It was so good for our families to catch up, and it was especially good to have some girly time with Tons.

We had a great weekend, a couple of lovely dinners out, and playgrounds, swimming pool, cafe and beach during the day.

Another lovely weekend away with some great company.

Campsite swimming pool (...bit chilly in there!)

Dalmeny camping weekend

We just had a great weekend camping in Dalmeny, which is about 1.5 hours north of Tura.  It was our first time away with our new (old) caravan, and after a couple of hitching up problems at home - everything worked out great.  We went away with two other families with kids the same age as Jack and Jo, so all the kids had a great time - they alternated their time between the park, the beach, fishing, the bike track and everyones caravans.

The view from our caravan was amazing, beach views out of nearly every window.

We did a big bike ride all the way to Narooma and back, a complete round trip of over 17km.  Everyone in the group started the ride, and one by one they dropped off, went back or got picked up, until there were only 3 kids and 3 adults remaining!  All the Lanes completed the whole ride, Jack and Josie did so well.  They were treated to a double scoop of ice-cream at the turnaround point, and then bribed with lollies every 3km on the way back!  We then had a lovely roast that evening, cooked of course on the campfire.

Great weekend and great company.
