Josie's preschool performance

Josie's preschool invited in the mums and dads today to see a short performance they have been working on.  Josie was so excited to have us all come in, and she did great remembering all the actions and words for all the songs they performed.

Big girl school

Our beautiful little girl all ready for her final day of orientation in preparation for starting big girl school next year.  Awwww, growing up too fast :(

New swing

Dad made the kids a swing which was waiting for them when we returned from camping on Sunday.  They both love it, in particular Josie who doesn't seem to want to get off it ... she even ate her lunch on it on Tuesday!

Camping on the old Postmans Track

Had a fantastic weekend camping on the Postmans Track in the South East Forest National Park on the weekend.

We camped in a great camping spot right next to the river with some friends.  We spent our time cooking a roast dinner on the upside down fire (Richard's experiment!), paddling in the river, picking leeches off our socks and ankles (eeeew!), the kids built a mountain bike track and then rode it countless times, catching hail in a freaky hail storm, watching a group of trail bikers cross the river, 4WDing out to Alexanders Hut (with a couple of river crossings), and then we had a hairy moment trying to get our trailer out of the campsite up a very steep road.  Great weekend, felt like we were away more than one night!
