Bombala and Myanba Gorge
We took at day trip out to Bombala yesterday, which is about an hour inland from Tura Beach. Bombala and surrounds are home to the platypus, apparently the largest population in NSW. Not that we saw any, but we were there at the wrong time of the day.
We went for a lovely walk next to the river, went to the viewing platform in the Platypus Reserve, had some lunch at the bakery, then stopped at Myanba Gorge on the way home.

Kid talk
Jackson got into bed with us when he woke up this morning. After cuddling me for a short period of time he said "Mummy your breath smells like poo, thats ok though cause you're still lovely"!!

Picnic Point
We spent the morning at Picnic Point, which is just north of Tathra. Had a great time collecting all sorts of things on the beach, which included some volcanic rock (from an undersea volcano that erupted north of New Zealand in 2012), a sea anemone shell and a coconut (which we can only assume was washed onshore from some faraway island!). Another place with great national park camping which is on our list to come back to with the tent.

Photo Friday
I am now kid free on both Wednesdays and Fridays, so I want to use this opportunity to take more photos in and around where we live. I will post my photo of the week each week on a Friday (or the nearest day!). This photo, taken yesterday, is of one of the fisherman's huts on Fishpen in Merimbula.
