School Orientation

Once a week for the past 4 weeks Jackson has been going to orientation at Merimbula Primary.  This week for the final orientation day they were encouraged to wear their school uniforms.  Jackson couldn't wait to go.

Kindergym

We have been to a few sessions of 'Kindergym' in Pambula recently, which is a great thing to do on a rainy day.  Jack and Josie love it, in particular Josie.

Surfing

Richard was doing a course this morning, so Jack, Josie and I decided to head to the beach to get some surfing practice.  They wanted to practice paddling and standing up on the board.  Then when Richard joined us at lunchtime it was off to find a beach with waves to try out what they had learnt.

The Merimbula Classic

The Merimbula Classic was on this weekend, which is a windsurfing, kitesurfing and stand-up paddle boarding competition.  So we went down to Main Beach to have a look, and for Jack and Josie to perfect their wave jumping.

Big sis, little bro and 6 cousins

We had another fabulous weekend with the Rices.  We managed to pack it full with mountain bike rides for all, a play on the jumping pillow, an afternoon at the skatepark and a lovely coastal walk along Short Point.  Thanks for coming Rices, see you again in a few weeks.

Whale watching from home

We have been doing quite a bit of whale watching from our own balcony recently.  Lots have been passing by, with lots of breaching, splashing, and tail flapping going on.  I managed to get a couple of photos today of what we think is a Mum teaching her calf how to breach.  The photos are a bit blurry as I had the camera on maximum zoom, but you get the idea.

Grandparents

Richards parents have been visiting us for the past couple of weeks, this picture was taken this morning at the Tathra Wharf.

Paddling on the Pambula Rivermouth

We took the boat out on the Pambula Rivermouth yesterday, lovely spot, lovely morning.

I'm a big girl now!

Yesterday Josie refused to go on the 'big girl' swing and also on the flying fox at a park in Batehaven, today as she is "a big 3 year old now" - she insisted on going on the big girl swing and the flying fox!

Batemans Bay

Richard signed up to do a Surfing Instructor course with Surfing NSW this weekend, and the course was in Batemans Bay, so we all decided to go along too.  We stayed at a great camping site in Batehaven, and whilst Rich was busy learning how to teach others how to surf, Jack, Josie and I checked out the local parks, skatepark, shops and today (Josie's birthday) we went to Mogo Zoo.  Lovely weekend away.
