Mumbulla Falls

We went for a drive to Mumbulla Creek Falls in the Biamanga National Park just north of Bega yesterday.  We spent a lovely morning swimming in the rock pools, sliding down the rock slides, taking photos and then sheltering in a cave when it rained.

Surfing at Dolphin Cove

Just spent a lovely morning at the beach.  Everyone had a go at surfing, but mostly we just splashed in the shore dump.  Great morning.

Kid talk

We were just heading out the door to go to school on Friday, Jackson to me "Mummy when do I get my money for going to school?", Me to Jackson "what do you mean?", Jack "Daddy gets money for going to school"

Rainforest walk - photos by Josie

Rainforest walk - photos by Jackson

Goodenia Rainforest Walk

Went for a walk in the Goodenia Rainforest this morning which is in the South East Forest National Park.  We all had our cameras, I had my SLR, Rich had the video camera, and Jack and Jo had their cameras - so the next post will display some of their photographic work!

Nissan X-Trail

Josie and I picked up our new car this morning, a Nissan X-Trail.  Nice to drive and I have already noticed it has a lot more power than the Mazda.

Happy Birthday Richard

Jackson and Josie thoroughly enjoyed decorating Richard's cake this afternoon.  Happy Birthday Richard!

Girls hanging out

Jackson has been at school for over a week now, so during the day the girls get to hang out.  Josie and I  manage to fill our time with swimming lessons, playgroup, mothers group meetings at the park, trips to the library and beach, and sometimes (don't tell Jackson!) a hot chocolate at a cafe.

This was taken after dropping Jack off today and before we made our way to playgroup, we decided to have some snacks whilst sitting on the bench overlooking Bar Beach.  Lovely day.

Thank you Mazda Tribute

We have had the Tribute for nearly 6 years, buying it off Richard's parents, and its been a great car. Even got us all the way over here from WA, full up with no space to spare and towing a heavy trailer.  But the poor Tribute has lost a lot of its power and has a number of major things coming up that will need fixing.  So we've decided to upgrade, we pick up the new car tomorrow.  Very exciting.  Thank you our Mazda Tribute, you've been very good to us.

Bournda Bush Walk

We went for a bush walk this morning in Bournda National Park.  It was a lovely walk which gave you filtered views of the ocean and Bournda Island.  We ended up just North of Bournda Island and found a lovely picnic spot to have a hot chocolate and watch the surfers.

BTW - a few months ago I started a photography blog, to see more pics from this walk and many more from around this area click here
