Soccer Gala Day
The soccer season ended with an Under 7s Gala Day at Bemboka today. Each team played four 40 minute games one after the other. Not all of the Merimbula players could make it so we had no subs.... you can imagine how tired they all were. Nevertheless they won all their games, and Jackson scored some fantastic goals (he told me for the whole gala morning he scored 11 goals!). A great end to the soccer season.

It was my 39th birthday yesterday. Had a lovely day at home with the crew, spent some time on the backyard single track first thing, back for cake, then a walk up the headland looking for whales (didn't see any!), and out for dinner last night. Fab day.
Backyard single track
Richard and Jackson have been busy building an 800m single track in the reserve at the back of our house. Jack and Josie spent some time testing it out yesterday.
New back fence
Richard and Dad have just finished putting up our back fence. Looks pretty good, and will hopefully stop the roos from eating our veggies (... well we can only hope!).
Family bike ride
Josie is getting more and more confident on her bike, riding it all the time. A couple of weekends ago she asked if we could go for a family bike ride, so we did a 5km loop around Mandeni. This photo was taken on a drink/food break at Giants Chair.
