Christmas Day!

We all enjoyed Christmas 2008. Jackson didn't understand the whole present opening thing, but he enjoyed his presents and all the lovely food.

Landsdale Animal Farm

We went to Landsdale Animal Farm again on Sunday, as per usual Jackson loved seeing the animals!

Woke up this morning to beautiful warm temperatures so decided to walk down the beach for a quick swim...

The great Perth toy run

The toy run is an annual motorbike event where about 7000 bikes ride part of the freeway to deliver soft toys to charity. I was invited by a parent at the school and we got children to donate which meant we had plenty of toys to decorate our bikes, it was a fun morning.

Jackson meets Santa

Santa came to Scarborough community hall on Friday, so Jackson and I went to see him. Jackson was not that excited about meeting him, he was way more interested in the big ball and the bouncy castle.

In the last week Jackson has begun walking everywhere, he looks like he has just got off a horse - so cute!! Will post photographic evidence soon.

Paddling pool fun

We bought Jackson a paddling pool with some of his birthday money, and he LOVES it! Think Rich and I will also appreciate it on those hot summer days.

Jackson's 1st Birthday!

On 31st October Jackson turned 1, we had a small family lunch for him on the Saturday. Below are a few pictures from the day. Jackson's birthday 'trick', much to the delight of everyone present, was to walk four steps unaided. No photographic evidence yet, will keep you posted.

Jackson loves going to the park, in fact he loves anything that involves going outside (hmmm wonder where he gets that from?!). Here's a picture of him taken at Scarborough Beach park.

Getting dunked

Richard had his school fete last weekend, he had volunteered to go on the dunking machine. Jackson and I had a go, $2 for 3 throws - money well spent!!

Packed Scarborough Beach

As the temperature reached 34oc yesterday we decided to walk down to the beach for a swim, along with everyone else in Perth. I haven't seen Scarborough that busy in a long time. Jackson enjoyed his dip.

Colourful front garden

Our front garden is full of colour at the moment, thanks to all of Richard's hard work over the winter months.

Kep Track

I rode the Kep Track this week. It's a 75km trail from Northam to Mundaring- suitable for horse riding, walking and of course, cycling. Em and Jackson dropped me off at Northam and went off to spend a couple of hours in York before picking me up in Mundaring. The track itself follows a pipeline- so pretty flat, but with some nice country-side to check out.

First pair of boardies!

We bought Jackson his first pair of board shorts last week, so on our first warm day we went to the beach to get them wet!

Bibblumum Track

We went for a bushwalk yesterday along the Bibblumum Track. Jackson loved seeing all the birds, touching the plants and trees, and watching the dogs - so much so that he fell asleep!

Farmer Jack

We went to a farm school today. Jackson loved seeing all the animals, he especially enjoyed playing in the dirt!

Mawson Park

We found a great park near Hillarys which Jackson loves to explore.

Bushwalking

We went for a bushwalk on the weekend, as you can see Jackson loves being in his backpack!
