Bridgetown and Denmark

We are now on Day 4 of our trip to the East Coast.  So far we have spent 2 nights in Bridgetown and 1 night in Denmark.  It has been HOT!  Temperatures in both places have been over 35oc which has been a bit hot to do anything much, but we have still found plenty to do.  In Bridgetown we found a nice spring fed lake to walk around and then swim in, then in Denmark we made our way out to Green Pool, which is a lovely beach, for a play and swim.  It is supposed to cool down over the next few days which we are definitely looking forward to!  Camping is going well and so far we haven’t found anything which we wish we had or have left behind.

Bon Voyage

Mia and Mya - the end of an era

Jackson has known Mia and Mya since he was 6 weeks old, as we all met through Mothers Group.  Since  then we have caught up for a play every week or so.  Yesterday, they all met as a group of 3 for one final play before we leave.  Awww.

Cyclocross

On the weekend Richard competed in a Cyclocross race, so I took Jackson and Josie out to watch.  Jackson LOVED it, they gave him a cow bell to ring to cheer on the riders, and he took this responsibility very seriously.  Josie on the other hand, who was just getting over a virus, thought it was all a bit too tiring and fell asleep on Grandads shoulder.

6 years ago today....

Camping with the McTernan's

We had a fantastic two nights away camping with Frank, Elly and Mabel in Dwellingup. Jack, Josie and Mabel loved hanging out together. We went for some lovely walks along the river, had a swim in the river, threw rocks in the river, took a canoe out in the river.... very nice.

Rock climbers of the future

Jack and Josie love to climb. Whether it is the tree in the backyard, the limestone rocks down by the coast or artificial climbing walls in playgrounds, they both enjoy getting off the ground. The other day Richard and Jack were having a conversation about climbing and Richard explained that he had a lot of proper climbing 'gear' in the shed that they could use when Jackson got older.

Of course, the 'gear' had to be examined, and then worn!

"Where's the rock?!"
